
Agile Business Analyst

We are a growing FinTech software company hiring an Agile Business Analyst to work with our product teams, developers, and customers to detail user stories and requirements to enhance our payment products!
In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements, process improvements, and product functionality. We are working in an Agile/Scrum framework, so this role is responsible for defining and refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. You will be helping to deliver best-in-class fintech products by driving clarity, collaboration, and efficiency in our product development efforts.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Product Owner to gather and document business and technical requirements
Translate requirements into detailed user stories and clear and detailed acceptance criteria. We are using Jira.
Participate in Agile ceremonies as required
Support QA and developers during the sprint lifecycle
Perform gap analyses, process mapping, and root cause analysis as needed
Maintain product documentation, process flows, and release notes in Confluence
Assist in backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions
Work with stakeholders to prioritize features based on impact and feasibility
Provide support during UAT and track feedback for product improvements
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst with experience writing user stories for Agile development teams
Demonstrated success in writing clear and concise user stories and managing backlog items
Familiarity with fintech, payment processing, or SaaS platforms is preferred
Experience working closely with development and QA teams
Agile certifications such as CSPO, CSM, or PMI-ACP preferred
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally
Experience using Jira and Confluence, and preference for experience using Figma or a similar tool
Understanding of UX principles and basic API concepts preferred
Our offices are in the Greenwich / Norfolk, CT area, and we would prefer an individual who can work from our offices at 2-3 days a week.
