About the Role! The Continuous Improvement (CI) Process Engineer supports our manufacturing operation by partnering with others to eliminate losses. The losses eliminated will range from safety and quality issues to sources of downtime and cost savings opportunities across the plant. The CI Process Engineer will have responsibility for the results of a group of packaging lines and will need to analyze results, think strategically to develop action plans, coach production technicians, manage operating standards and implement improvement projects. Further, the CI Process Engineer will be charged with using the appropriate problem‑solving tools to identify the loss, solve for root cause and eliminate the loss by implementing improvements and the appropriate standards as well as lead traditional CI systems such as centerlines, clean‑inspect‑lubricate (CILs) standards and defect handling.

So what does success look like? A successful CI Process Engineer will have an Engineering degree and be able to demonstrate how he/she has successfully used the engineering thought process to develop solutions for challenging problems in either work or school experiences. The CI Process Engineer will need to be detail oriented, biased towards action, possess strong communication skills and enjoy working with others in a manufacturing environment. Previous exposure to manufacturing and continuous improvement/lean manufacturing systems will help you to hit the floor running.
