Employee Benefits Account Coordinator – Public Entity and Municipal Sector Responsible for routine tasks and primary points of contact for the clients they oversee, working under direct supervision. Supports and informs coverage strategy and plan, applying principles of insurance to everyday situations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establish & maintain strong relationships and make periodic decisions on account updates and coverages
Assist the Account Manager with assigned book of business – pre‑renewal marketing & analysis, renewal administration, ongoing communication
Manage enrollment and educational material under the direction of the Account Manager
Investigate and resolve eligibility file issues, research and resolve file discrepancies reported by carriers
Provide timely updates to Account Managers to share client and carrier requestsAssist Account Managers in annual benefits open enrollment, including plan design changes and testing; conduct open enrollment presentations when needed
Perform other duties as necessary to support assigned Account Manager
Comply with government and state regulations and plan provisions to ensure compliance with annual notices and plan provisions are communicated accurately
Education and Experience
1–3 years of prior insurance industry experience preferred
Active Life & Health License or ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire date
High school diploma or recognized equivalent (required)
Strong organizational skills – ability to prioritize and be proactive
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, premiums, commissions, proportions and percentages
Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instructions and deal with a variety of variables furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
The base compensation range for this position is $23 – $30. This range reflects Acrisure’s good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location and internal equity.
Candidates should be comfortable with an on‑site presence to support collaboration, team leadership and cross‑functional partnership.
