ETCF Mission: Philanthropy builds community and changes lives. East Texas Communities Foundation supports philanthropy by offering simple ways for donors to achieve their charitable goals.Our business is helping individuals and organizations achieve their philanthropic objectives. The primary goal of this position is to grow the regional philanthropic impact of the Foundation by establishing new charitable funds through the cultivation and stewardship of individual donors, nonprofit organizational donors (including public charities and private foundations), and professional advisors.Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential donors to foster current giving, as well as planned gifts. Work closely with the Director of Public Relations, the President/CEO and the Foundation’s Board of Directors and past directors to initiate and build relationships for the organization In conjunction with the President/CEO, educate and cultivate the professional adviser community about the services of the Foundation to generate donor referrals Arrange regular informational, educational, or recognition meetings and events to keep advisers well-informed and enthusiastic about the Foundation’s mission and services with the goal of making their clients aware of the Foundation and identifying specific prospective donors for further cultivation Assist with philanthropic initiatives targeting specific audiences or geographic regions Represent the Foundation in working with donors and advisors at events and support the donor engagement efforts targeting prospective donors, professional advisors, as well as existing donors Represent the Foundation at various public functions and speaking engagements which may target prospective donors and professional advisors, as well as existing donors Work closely with the Director of Public Relations to promote public awareness of the Foundation’s services throughout our service area among targeted demographics to maintain a high public profile for the Foundation. The goal is to ensure that the Foundation’s name and services are increasingly visible to current and potential donors. Utilize, build, and maintain the Foundation’s database of existing and potential donors, and opportunities for both current and expected charitable funds for communication and reporting purposes Develop and maintain a working knowledge of efficient methods of current and planned giving through training and networking opportunities Work with the President to create charitable fund agreements for new lifetime and planned gifts, as well as maintain and update existing fund agreements as needed Other duties as assigned by the President to assist the FoundationQualifications: Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills Excellent organizational skills Self-motivated, detail and results oriented Computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and customer relationship management platforms (ETCF CRM is Foundant Technologies Community Suite) Flexibility A Bachelor’s degree in a related business field is desired, but not required. 3 years of related or similar work experience in the field of donor/client/business developmentOrganizational Relationships: This position reports to the President & CEO of the Foundation This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will be broadly enough focused to perform a variety of functions and flexible enough to become more tightly focused as the organization grows and staff is added. Compensation for this position will be reviewed annually with increases based on merit and performance. This position will evolve as the Foundation grows.
