Director of Finance

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Finance to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $150,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee core financial system activities, including general ledger management and integration with purchasing and payables functions.
• Guide improvements to purchasing workflows and support automation efforts that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Establish and maintain data standards for key financial and operational records and ensure proper review and approval processes.
• Manage intercompany activity by monitoring matching rules, reviewing variances, and supporting faster close routines.
• Coordinate financial close readiness each quarter and support reporting needs, audit reviews, and consolidation requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to work closely with finance and operational teams to ensure proper accounting for royalty activity, shared services, and cross-entity transactions.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, user access standards, and compliance requirements.
• Previous experience supporting system changes, including gathering requirements, testing, training, and post-launch stability.
• Skill in evaluating and improving processes through data analysis and performance tracking.
• Capacity to manage bank related responsibilities and ensure payment workflows align with system controls.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or information systems, with advanced credentials.
• 5+ years of experience in a related financial systems or accounting leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools and the ability to support system design and enhancements.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards and advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools.
• Previous experience working across global teams with a record of implementing process and system improvements.
