Position Summary:
The School Systems Manager serves as the primary owner and administrator for one or more core school-facing digital systems. This role is responsible for system configuration, workflow design, permissions management, and day-to-day operational performance to ensure systems function effectively for schools and district users. The School Systems Manager makes informed, judgment-based decisions regarding system functionality, usability tradeoffs, and prioritization of enhancements within governance standards established by the Director of School Systems. This role manages system work and deliverables, not personnel, and does not supervise employees. While partnering closely with Information Technology and other departments on technical dependencies and integrations, the School Systems Manager is accountable for how assigned systems operate in practice across the district. Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in education, information systems, business, or a related field; or the ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience
Experience: • Five (5) years' experience in application management, systems administration, or related work • Experience working with enterprise or school-facing digital systems
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, and Certifications • None
