Ready to dig into deals, sharpen your credit skills, and work directly with clients? We are seeking a Credit Analyst/Portfolio Lender to join our Search Fund & Sponsor Finance Team. You'll help evaluate and underwrite direct loans and other credit exposure to search funds and private equity owned borrowers in the lower middle market. A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) is required; Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive support to the Search Fund & Sponsor Finance Director through financial and credit analysis, collateral assessment, ratio calculations, and additional underwriting tasks for new loans, renewals, and annual reviews.

Accurately review and enter applicant companies' financial statements into the LoanVantage loan management system to support loan processing and analysis.

Build relationships with clients to be their trusted advisor; establish clients as referral resources by providing extraordinary service.

Assess applicants' financial positions and prepare commercial loan requests and renewals, evaluating creditworthiness based on financial data while ensuring compliance with loan policies and banking regulations.

Gather all required client documentation and complete internal financial statement spreadsheets and projections reflecting the client's financial condition.

Evaluate clients' stability, managerial aptitude, and creditworthiness by analyzing both personal and corporate documents, including balance sheets, income statements, and tax returns.

Conduct ongoing monitoring of loan portfolios, encompassing both loan reviews and renewals.

Oversee credit monitoring activities, including analysis of borrowing bases, financial covenants, margin loans, and related items.

Develop and sustain positive, trusted relationships with colleagues, clients and vendors.

Maintain a regular presence in the office to collaborate with team members and support daily operations, while also enjoying a flexible work environment to accommodate personal and professional needs.

Willingness to travel to conferences and industry events as needed to represent the company and foster professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal credit training and at least 2+ years of underwriting and/or portfolio management experience

Bachelor's degree is required; emphasis in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred

Demonstrated strong financial acumen and high-level problem‑solving skills
