Job Description Ameriprise Financial has a great new opportunity for a Senior Analyst to join our Digital Product Analytics team! You will play a key role within EDAI (Enterprise Data, Analytics, & Insights) to drive tangible business results by providing actionable insights and recommendations through the analysis of digital initiatives. You will extensively use SQL / programming language for data ETL and develop dashboards in Adobe Analytics or data visualization tool. This role will support several web or mobile app product teams with their product’s performance measurement and instrumentation. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners and senior leadership on strategic initiatives, prioritization, and resourcing needs.

Key Responsibilities

Perform online reporting, collection, and analysis of complex digital qualitative and quantitative metrics from multiple sources; administer the site analytic reporting system; manage the collection and synthesis of data from multiple sources. Discover issues, developing trends, or areas to investigate further. Proactively identify opportunities to drive tangible business results. Present data in a clear and compelling way to communicate insights, tell a story, and influence strategy.

Assist in dataset creation by developing measurement plans, technical requirement documents for tagging. This may include data extraction, derived and dependent variable creation, and data quality control processes for analytics, model development, and validation.

Manage workload within the team by partnering with analytics department leaders and senior marketing leaders. This includes preparing for a series of weekly team agile meetings, bi-weekly marketing alignment meetings, leading analytics self‑service and enablement initiatives, and monthly leadership prioritization discussions.

This role will own the creation and reporting of monthly KPIs and dashboards, as well as perform analysis and build processes that ensure best practices in marketing performance.

Responsible for one or more analytic tools owned by the analytics team. Be a subject matter expert for those tools and create a strategy for maximizing their benefits and effectiveness.

Identify opportunities for operational excellence within the team. Some examples include optimizing operational process, clarifying roles and responsibilities, implementation of agile methodologies, standardization across the board, enhancing QA process, identifying opportunities to improve speed to market, self‑service enablement for the business, etc.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

3‑5 years of relevant experience

Experience conducting analyses of digital data using Adobe Analytics

3+ years of strong hands‑on experience with SQL

2+ years of experience with any data visualization tool – Power BI (preferred), Tableau, BusinessObjects etc

Working knowledge of a programming language – Python (preferred), R or any other language

Working knowledge of any analytics platform – Dataiku, Databricks, Alteryx

Ability to share compelling insights using MS PowerPoint

Strong relationship & communication skills working with colleagues and business partners; influencing customers on recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

Digital analytics experience developing meaningful KPIs, Solution Design References (SDR), reporting, insights, and interpreting results

Ability to work and thrive in collaborative work environment as well as independently to drive results

Proven track record of driving Analytics into actionable business outcomes

Experience in financial services with knowledge of products, customers, transaction and interaction data, including source systems

Demonstrated understanding of statistical analyses methodologies

Base Pay Salary The estimated base salary for this role is $81,700 – $112,300 / year. We have a pay‑for‑performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long‑term incentives depending on the role.
