The Sponsored Brands Impressions-based Offerings team is tasked with enhancing the value of Sponsored Brands for large-scale brand advertising in retail media. We empower brands to be discovered, acquire new customers, and sustainably grow customer lifetime value. Our work encompasses building comprehensive solutions that drive brand visibility and share of voice, including advertiser tools, shopper experiences, monetization strategies, and optimization features. Our success is measured by shopper engagement with brands and the brands' ability to scale their business using our advertising products. As an Applied Scientist on our team, you will: Develop cutting-edge AI solutions for Sponsored Brands' advertiser and shopper experiences, focusing on monetization and optimization systems that enhance campaign performance through generative models. Define a strategic vision and roadmap for our Sponsored Brands advertising initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer needs, and translate this into actionable plans for applied scientists and engineering teams. Design and execute A/B experiments to assess proposed solutions using comprehensive data analyses. Effectively communicate both technical and non-technical ideas with team members and stakeholders. Stay informed about the latest advancements and modeling techniques within the field. Envision the long-term trajectory of generative AI and identify opportunities to leverage these technologies to address real-world challenges. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience building models for business applications. PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar. Experience in algorithms, data structures, numerical optimization, data mining, or high-performance computing. 3+ years of experience in digital advertising technology. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Proven track record of developing innovative AI solutions. Familiarity with generative model architectures. Research publications or patents in generative AI technologies. This package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location. We also offer comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
