Overview

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you will move and collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You’ll help provide a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Flexibility is key, as you may support different areas of the store to maintain the cleanliness of the floor and stockrooms and help customers find great deals. Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway-ready, with merchandising and straightening throughout the day. Assist customers at the register with a variety of transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging, handling items including bulky or heavy items, and ensuring a seamless, friendly experience. Support as a fitting room attendant by greeting customers, assisting them, and returning clothing to the floor. Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor. Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed. Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment. Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards. Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program. Receive, unload freight, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments. Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards. Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing, and shipping standards. Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments per inventory control processes. Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms. Provide general store support (e.g., set up special events, organize backroom, markdowns, relocate store fixtures). Work shifts as late as 11pm or as early as 4am, Sunday – Saturday. Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers. Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above head level. Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment roles: frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
