Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays ready, with merchandise sized and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day. Assist customers at the cashier, handling a variety of transactions across different platforms (in-store, online and mobile) with a point-of-sale system, bagging items of all sizes, handling bulky items, and ensuring a seamless and friendly experience. Provide a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor. Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor. Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed. Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment. Adhere to operational, merchandise and asset protection standards. Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program. Responsibilities (Stock Support and Fulfillment)
Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments. Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards. Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing and shipping standards. Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes. Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers. Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head. Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Benefits
