Overview
A client with Kforce is seeking a Content Designer II to join their team in San Diego, CA. Join the Sales Enablement team and help shape impactful onboarding experiences that accelerate sales performance. Our mission is to equip sales teams with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed through high‑quality, performance‑driven learning programs. We are looking for a Senior Instructional Designer who can independently manage projects, apply the ADDIE methodology, and partner effectively with business stakeholders to design engaging onboarding solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, brings structure to ambiguity, and is passionate about driving measurable results through learning.
Responsibilities
Lead the end‑to‑end instructional design process using ADDIE: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation
Conduct needs analyses to identify performance gaps and align onboarding to sales outcomes
Partner with Sales leaders, enablement partners, and subject matter experts to define learning objectives and success metrics
Design and develop onboarding programs across multiple modalities: Instructor‑led training (ILT), Virtual instructor‑led training (VILT), eLearning modules, community enablement, and more
Write facilitator guides, learner materials, assessments, job aids, and scripts
Create detailed design documents and storyboards for multimedia designers and developers
Develop in Articulate products
How You Will Lead
Take ownership of onboarding initiatives from concept through evaluation
Model strong instructional design discipline and quality standards
Build trust with Sales stakeholders through proactive communication and delivery
Contribute ideas to continuously improve onboarding experiences
Support a culture of measurement and continuous improvement
Requirements
4‑6+ years of experience applying adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE required)
Experience conducting needs assessments and partnering with business stakeholders
Proven experience designing onboarding or sales training programs in enterprise environments
Experience developing ILT, VILT, and eLearning solutions
Experience collaborating with multimedia designers and cross‑functional partners
Experience evaluating learning effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative measures
A performance‑focused mindset that connects learning to business outcomes
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence without authority
Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments
Solid project management and prioritization skills
Attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines independently
Strong writing and communication skills
An experienced instructional designer with a track record of delivering effective onboarding programs
Skilled at conducting needs analyses and translating business goals into practical learning solutions
Comfortable managing stakeholders and navigating evolving priorities
A strong writer who can create learner‑facing content and detailed storyboards for development
Data‑minded and focused on measuring learning effectiveness
