Assistant Property Manager

BioMed Realty is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and construction activities across our portfolio of premier life science and office properties.

What You’ll Do

Support operations, maintenance, and construction activities across commercial and laboratory spaces.

Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to maintain building systems, equipment, and overall facility performance.

Assist in developing budgets, timelines, and operational plans.

Maintain organized records, schedules, and property-related documentation.

Prepare and distribute notices, correspondence, and project-related materials.

Collaborate regularly with operations and facilities teams, tenants, and vendors to support daily activities and project execution.

Provide logistical support for meetings and site activities, both on-site and off-site as needed.

Support the bid and contract process, including gathering proposals, preparing agreements, and tracking progress.

Assist in reviewing vendor performance, project updates, and related reports.

Facilitate tenant access needs, including coordinating credentials across properties as needed.

Serve as a point of contact for tenants, vendors, and external partners, maintaining strong professional relationships.

Support financial processes, including rent and expense tracking, invoice coordination, and collaboration with accounting teams.

Participate in regular site reviews, including property inspections, vendor coordination, and reporting.

Assist in responding to building incidents or urgent situations, coordinating communication and support as needed.

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned and ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience supporting operations or real estate environments, including administrative or coordination responsibilities.

Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, or relevant experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with MRI or similar systems is a plus.

Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Demonstrates professionalism and builds positive, collaborative working relationships.

Ability to coordinate with team members, vendors, contractors, and tenants effectively.

Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage tasks in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.

Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.

Compensation : $37.00 - $46.00 per hour ($77,000 - $96,000 base per year) + bonus + benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining pay, we’ll consider location, experience, and other job‑related factors.
