Description
The Senior Interior Designer will lead the various phases of interior design throughout a project, which includes program development, space planning, interior design, furniture and finish selection, construction documentation of interior spaces, specification development, and construction administration. This position will also lead interior design projects through a variety of project types and clients.
Lead design concepts, furniture and finish selections, and technical applications.
Lead the review of interior design drawings to ensure they are implemented within scope, expectations, technical accuracy, budget and schedule.
Lead the review process for design concepts, technical accuracy, cross-coordination, and code compliance.
Build effective relationships with Architects and Engineers. Review all disciplines of construction drawings.
Responsible for maintaining conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes
Lead design concepts and proposals to clients, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments.
Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the architectural practice. Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff.
Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.
Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in interior design, interior architecture, or similar field Required or
Master Degree in interior design, interior architecture, or similar field Required
Minimum eight years of interior design preferred.
NCIDQ certification required.
Portfolio demonstrating design and graphic presentation skills is preferred.
Expert knowledge of standard interior design concepts, including programming, space planning, finish selection, and furniture systems for commercial projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a problem-solving environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
Expert software and computer skills preferred, including BIM (Revit), Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering software.
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, and organization.
Experience in leading design teams for large, complex projects, delegating tasks, and guiding internal and client groups towards successful design outcomes.
Ability to conduct detailed quality reviews of architectural documents.
Experience with construction phase activities, including site visits, shop drawing review, and correspondence with contractors and client.
Ability to travel.
