The Vistex
Technical Trainer
is responsible for conducting training sessions on the Vistex suite of products for new customers, existing customers, and internal customers. Courses are conducted virtually and at client facilities as well as Vistex training facilities. This position requires a high degree of facilitation skills for teaching technical software to support our global audiences. Additionally, the Vistex Technical Trainer will assist in the process of keeping all training material current with the newest software releases.
Responsibilities
Train customers to improve their knowledge on the Vistex suite of products
Teach formal and informal classes to varying audiences and skill levels on the business process and technical steps needed to implement and utilize the software at a Vistex facility, virtually, or at the customer’s location
Develop and organize training materials, visual aids, and other educational materials for all Vistex products
Ability and flexibility to adapt the training materials to sessions of varying lengths and audience sizes who possess varying skill sets
Work closely with Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts to update training materials and create delta classes as new releases of the software are rolled out
Analyze training needs and develop strategies to improve courses and documentation
Proactively manage, report, and troubleshoot issues that occur while training
Provides feedback to management regarding process improvements and content gaps, provides feedback on changes required to method or procedures
Develop custom course materials (PowerPoint, process documentation, exercises) and deliver training for end user customer projects
Travel required to customer facility depending on training requirements (10-20%)
Handle related duties as assigned
The compensation for this position is $65k to $78k annually. Base pay will vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s location, job-related knowledge, skills and work experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus. Qualifications Education Bachelors or better in Information Technology or related field.
Experience Required
3 years Software training experience
Effectively train both technical and non-technical people
Independent thinking with highly developed problem solving skills
Ability to maintain professionalism at all times and work without supervision
Adaptable to changing schedules and multiple work plans
Demonstrates a strong service orientation and takes task ownership
Knowledge of SAP software products
Experience Preferred
Sales and Distribution (SD) experience
Experience with the typical business processes of a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
