About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven New Business Developer with a strong background in the produce industry. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in sales and business development, with the ability to procure product considered a strong asset. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new accounts, strengthening client relationships, and expanding market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and secure new accounts in either broadline foodservice or regional/national retail sectors.
Identify, pursue, and close growth opportunities in existing and new markets.
Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure product availability, quality, and timely delivery.
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships to drive repeat business.
Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitive activity to support strategic sales decisions.
Qualifications
Proven sales and business development experience in the produce industry.
Existing relationships within foodservice or retail produce markets preferred.
Strong negotiation, communication, and customer relationship skills.
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Experience with procurement or product sourcing is a strong plus.
Willingness to travel as needed to develop and support accounts.
