GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The SBA & USDA Loan Servicing Assistant position is responsible for assisting the Loan Servicing Specialist and Portfolio Managers with daily tasks and responsibilities to maintain the integrity of the SBA & USDA loans, annual reviews and additional reporting requirements. This position must remain aware of and adhere to established policies and procedures, while ensuring alignment with bank and government regulations (SBA & USDA).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Generate due diligence reports (Credit, LexisNexis) and gather any supporting documentation needed to complete origination loan packaging, closing, and annual reviews.

Provide customer service to borrowers, lenders, and SBA Portfolio Managers, including answering inquiries related to loan files, account balances, and payoff requests for SBA 7a and USDA B&I loans.

Prepare and generate annual review notices for both borrowers and guarantors, requesting updated financial statements, and upload the received documents to the shared loan file and nCino for the Portfolio Manager's review.

Submit new loan requests into the Capital Access Financial System (E-Tran) to obtain SBA Terms and Conditions, and perform system updates for any loan modifications or servicing actions as needed.

Prepare and submit notices to the borrower for late payments, collection, default, and liquidation.

Contact the Loan Officer/BDO or the Collateral Site Inspection vendor to perform required site inspections for all loans more than 50 days past due, and to conduct annual site inspections as required by the SBA Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

Assist and provide back-up to the SBA & USDA Loan Servicing Specialist in the preparation of Guidehouse 1502 reporting.

Track and resolve technical exceptions.

Order valuation updates and real estate appraisals for collateral assets.

Assist the SBA & USDA Loan Servicing Specialist with assigned tasks, as needed.

Assist Portfolio Managers with the preparation of loan servicing actions, E-Tran servicing adjustments, tracking tickets, and maintaining pipeline reports.

Prepare Liquidation Packages (Repurchase Guaranty submissions) for Portfolio Manager review.

Assist the Portfolio Managers with tracking ticklers and pipeline reports.

Update and Monitor the SBA Watch List for all SBA & USDA loans.

Prepare and maintain procedures for job related duties.

The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Complete required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 12‑18 months related experience and/or training.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; Ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane, algebra, solid geometry and trigonometry.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Administrative experience

Working with multiple systems (Banking preferred)

Commercial Lender &/or SBA SOP experience

PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS SBA Experience/NAGGL Courses Certification

SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED Basic: 10-Key, Accounting, Presentation/PowerPoint

Intermediate: Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing

WORKING CONDITIONS Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions.
