Our Client a leader in precision engineering of cutting tools and industrial consumables are looking to attract a

Key Account Manager

who will develop, manage and grow the company portfolio of sales in this space. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, Europe ROW, the successful candidate will bring to the role their experience of working in a European industrial products environment with professional procurement, product management and technical sales counterparts to grow an existing portfolio of c.22m in annual divisional revenue. This role will involve maintaining and developing relationships with distributors across multiple countries while also identifying and developing new business opportunities. The successful candidate must be willing to travel across Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands and France and when not travelling can be based remotely or alternatively at the Company sites in Netherlands or Germany

Key Responsibilities

Sales strategy and execution:

Develop and implement sales plans, including developing and maintaining sales opportunity pipeline, setting sales targets, pricing policies, and promotional campaigns to meet revenue and margin goals.

Client acquisition and management : Identify and prospect for new B2B clients, develop strong, long term relationships, and manage existing accounts.

Sales cycle management:

Oversee the entire sales process from lead generation and proposal development to negotiation and deal closure.

Contract & Commercial Management:

Responsibility for negotiation and maintenance of commercial agreements including achieving target outcomes in key terms and conditions including pricing, commercial incentives and agreement duration

Product and market analysis:

Monitor market trends, analyze sales data, and work with product management functions to recommend new products, packaging, or strategies to maintain competitive position in the market

Cross-functional collaboration:

Work with product development, marketing, and operations teams to align strategies, ensure product quality, and facilitate successful order execution.

Forecasting and reporting:

Create sales forecasts, manage the sales pipeline, and report on sales activities and performance to senior management.

Utilize, manage and maintain any/all your sales activity through our CRM platform (Salesforce.com). Including logging all calls, managing account contacts, reporting any activity and/or account communications and sales pipeline.

Key Requirements

A proven track record in private label sales in industrial/ precision engineering products.

Strong commercial background (technical expertise is not required)

Proficiency with CRM and MS Office tools – Salesforce an advantage

Fluency in business English with additional language skills in German or Dutch is essential.

Affinity with (hard metal) tools, as this is the core product category

Willingness and ability to travel for business purposes

Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Analytical skills for data analysis and problem-solving.

Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
