**About the role**
As a **Consulting Principal - Enterprise Architecture** , you will make an impact by helping clients establish and govern enterprise‑wide architecture standards, modernize complex technology landscapes, and enable informed decision‑making through clear architectural insights. You will be a valued member of Cognizant's Technology Consulting team and work collaboratively with client leaders, architects, and delivery teams to translate business strategy into practical, scalable technology architecture.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Establish and support **Enterprise Architecture (EA) positioning, governance, and review processes** across business and technology teams
+ Define and embed **architectural guardrails** , including standards, principles, frameworks, and reference patterns, to ensure consistency and alignment across initiatives
+ Lead **current‑state architecture assessments** covering applications, data, integrations, and infrastructure, providing clear visibility into existing environments
+ Develop **enterprise architecture documentation and diagrams** that support executive decision‑making, modernization planning, and transformation roadmaps
+ Contribute to the design and implementation of an Enterprise Architecture repository and Architecture Review Board (ARB) workflows to support architecture governance and review processes

**What you must have to be considered**
+ Strong enterprise architecture and technical leadership experience, with the ability to guide and influence architecture decisions across complex environments
+ Proven experience conducting architecture and technology assessments, including business capabilities, applications, integrations, and infrastructure
+ Hands‑on experience with systems modernization, including legacy transformation, cloud adoption, and technology optimization initiatives
+ Demonstrated ability to define and govern **e** nterprise architecture standards, principles, and lifecycle governance in partnership with stakeholders
+ Solid understanding of non‑functional architecture considerations, including scalability, security, performance, resiliency, risk management, and cost optimization
**These will help you succeed**
+ Experience working in **consulting or advisory environments** , supporting multiple stakeholders and client teams
+ Familiarity with architecture repositories, documentation frameworks, and review boards
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive and non‑technical audiences
+ Exposure to cloud platforms, integration patterns, and modernization roadmaps across enterprise environments

**Compensation**
$150,000-$194,500
This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans
