We are looking for an experienced, collaborative, and adaptable Senior UI/UX Designer (individual contributor) who is passionate about understanding user needs and pain points to join the User Experience Design (UX) team. The UX Team crafts effortless mobile, web and desktop experiences that are grounded in empathy and informed by insights and thoughtful planning. As a Senior UI/UX Designer, You Are Responsible For UI/UX design expertise and execution: Bring products to life, designing solutions that delight and satisfy our clients and meet business needs. Support product design efforts from discovery to final delivery, Design interactions across desktop, mobile web and native mobile experiences, using product context. Align visual design approach for products. Work within a design system with an understanding of patterns and components. Understand that the tiniest detail can make all the difference in designing a great product, with focused attention on meeting product requirements, providing consistent and error-free experiences aligned to brand identity Create solutions together with a cross-functional Agile team, considering how digital, physical, and service channels work together Ideate with a divergent focus to identify gaps and research questions. Support ideation session facilitation and idea evaluation. Create consensus with partners, using a variety of XD methods to focus on the problem to solve Estimate task completion and raise roadblocks to team or project lead Maintain the high standards set by the group, including channel standards, content standards and the Charles Schwab design system Teamwork, collaboration, and engagement Passionately solutions-focused and optimistic about team, our mission and the needs of our partners and users Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with peers and partners Support or design activities to build partnerships and team collaboration Understand needs from peers or partners and share your own Raise your hand to help teammates as needed Your Approach See the best in others and situations and inspire teammates to do the same Build a case for an experience, using information, data and expertise to craft a message Use project knowledge to influence and persuade teammates Have a design position and be open and flexible to Recognize challenges are part of the process and collaboratively find root causes to determine next steps and new directions Be curious about challenges that affect team health and explore ways to resolve them Why Your Work Matters You will support an engaged set of users who rely on our products to manage their financial lives By understanding the user needs you will be able to impact how our users do business with Schwab You will learn how to balance functionality against complexity on a highly visible platform which serves millions of advisors and retail customers You will work with an engaged design team that fosters a learning environment What you have On your resume, please include a link to a digital portfolio of your relevant work; make sure to include any passwords required* Required Qualifications 6-10 years of UI/UX design experience focused on digital products or equivalent 1+ year of UI/UX experience for touch-based mobile interfaces An online portfolio showcasing design thinking leading to innovative solutions Experience with most aspects of a user-centered design process, including user research, developing user flows, creating wireframes, and building interactive prototypes for testing Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team within an iterative process and an Agile development methodology Proficient in design tools like Figma Experience supporting design sessions with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications Familiar with modern web and mobile application development including the latest developments in AI and mobile platforms Self-management skills, comfortable with responsibility, working directly with our client partners, and capable of managing your project work Ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work with various levels of the organization and various personality types Comfortable in a project-driven work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
