How This Role Contributes To The Y’s Mission
As a Y Program Director, you will be responsible for the direction, operation, and supervision of all camp, youth, teen, and family programs/events. You will oversee all programming that falls under these areas, including the staffing, program development, budgeting, and general maintenance and upkeep. You will oversee day to day center-based camp operations including associate supervision, fiscal control, program development, program area facility management/maintenance, program optimization and fulfillment, and volunteer development. You will also hire, train, supervise and lead a team of associates to deliver superior levels of member service and engagement. As a Y Program Director, you’ll contribute to the Y and to the broader community we serve by creating experiences that help people feel a greater sense of health and well-being, purpose, acceptance and belonging.
This Work Is Right For You If You Have
- A love of wellness, youth, teens and family
- The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, parents/guardians, members, and other associates
- Experience developing and implementing youth and family programming
- Experience acquiring, developing, implementing off site programs
- The ability to work nights and weekends
- Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software
- At least 2 years supervisory of experience
- A bachelor’s degree in recreation/health sciences or a related field
