HR Business Partner For Global Supply Chain
The HR Business Partner for Global Supply Chain acts as a partner to supply chain leadership and teams across multiple regions, supporting the delivery of business objectives through effective people management and development. Under the leadership of the Strategic People Partner, this role collaborates closely with leaders and line managers to drive talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Partner with supply chain leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals, ensuring a high-performing and engaged workforce. Advise managers on talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and employee relations matters, including complex and escalated situations that require sound judgment and discretion. Supports organizational development initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement, diversity, and inclusion. Provide coaching and guidance on performance management, employee relations, and compliance within a regulated supply chain context. Assess unusual or ambiguous circumstances (e.g., policy exceptions, sensitive employee relations concerns, competing regional requirements) and present leaders with practical options and variations in approach aligned to risk, culture, and business impact. Analyze HR metrics and supply chain workforce trends using sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to diagnose root causes, model scenarios, and recommend data-driven actions for process improvement and risk mitigation. Support change management efforts related to supply chain transformation, M&A activity, and digitalization projects. Ensure compliance with global and local employment laws, company policies, and industry regulations. Facilitate employee engagement initiatives, action planning, and team development activities to drive retention and performance. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including business partner roles. Preference for experience supporting supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics functions. Strong knowledge of global HR practices, employment law, and labor relations. Proven ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels in a matrixed, international organization. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required, including mastery of PivotTables and VLOOKUP functions. Ability to run standard and ad hoc reports and to analyze and manipulate data (including date fields) to produce accurate insights and recommendations. Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint skills with the ability to create clear presentations and effectively present insights to leaders and teams. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing business needs. Must be self-sufficient as the sole HR resource on-site, with the drive to independently find solutions and resolve problems; works within a decentralized HR team and is expected to proactively partner and reach out for collaboration and support as needed. Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to support business needs beyond a typical workday when required. Approximate 15% periodic travel to other sites primarily in Knoxville, TN, Ashburn, VA or our headquarters in San Diego, CA. Location
