Position Summary The Assistant Director for Club Sports Teams & Player Engagement will work closely with all club sports teams from recruitment, retention, and program development.

This is a full-time, ten-month position with an annual appointment from August 1st to May 31st.

Improve club sports retention programs by tracking first year students and meeting with them as necessary.

Assist in the retention efforts of all club sports programs by working with the coaches and utilizing tracking software to meet with at-risk students.

Work directly with coaches on retention plans as well as all communication for club sports teams.

Ensure that first year students are engaged and track their involvement. Ensure that opportunities are available for students within.

Serve as a liaison at Admitted Student Days, Open Houses, and all virtual recruitment events.

Conduct surveys and work with coaches to collect pertinent information regarding the retention of students.

Club Sports Communications

Oversee all of club sports social media accounts, streaming activities, and website.

Ensure that the website is updated daily with appropriate information, including but not limited to schedules, articles, rosters, and recruitment forms.

Work directly with the Director of Club Sports Recruitment on print material and electronic communication for club sports programs.

Department Engagement

Assist in the development of any new club sports teams by doing research and preparing for any needs that new teams would need.

Assist in the management of the club sports teams and needs.

Research and evaluate programs and staff. Compile data and report information.

Utilize DoSportsEasy as a primary roster management tool.

Assist with the operations management of all club sports.

Attend club sports home games as well as away playoff games and competitions.

Work closely with club sports staff to engage current students and coaches.

Responsible for ensuring all current students are academically eligible.

Oversee club sports weekly, monthly and yearly awards.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Attributes

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Recreation or Collegiate athletics.

Experience working with website design.

Excellent communication skills, both through public speaking and social media.

Ability to work nights and weekends.

Understanding of all sports offered.

Extensive knowledge of club sports.

Unusual Working Conditions Nights and weekends are expected.
