Director of Talent Acquisition (Engineering)
Location:
New York or Chicago (Hybrid – 4 days in office)

Compensation:
$170k – $180k base
We are partnering with a
global engineering and consulting organization
to appoint a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead and evolve their US recruitment function. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping talent acquisition strategy, building high‑performing teams, and ensuring the business attracts top‑tier talent to support continued growth.
This individual will operate as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving workforce planning, enhancing employer brand, and embedding best‑in‑class recruiting processes across experienced hires and early‑career programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the talent acquisition strategy aligned to business growth and workforce planning
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing TA team across regions
Partner with executive leadership to forecast hiring demand and build proactive pipelines
Oversee end-to-end recruitment delivery, ensuring efficiency and strong candidate experience
Implement innovative sourcing strategies across direct sourcing, referrals, and digital channels
Optimize ATS, recruitment technology, and data analytics to drive decision‑making
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and hiring managers
Embed DEI principles across hiring practices and drive diverse hiring outcomes
Strengthen employer branding and EVP initiatives
Define and track recruitment KPIs, providing insights to leadership
Requirements
12+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including leadership roles
Experience recruiting within engineering, consulting, or related technical environments
Proven track record building and scaling talent acquisition functions
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Experience leveraging recruitment technology and analytics
Demonstrated leadership and team development capability
