The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) Division of Advancement is hiring an Associate Director of Advancement Operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Operations, this role will focus on the Advancement budget, HR, projects, division operations, and collaboration across departments to ensure successful philanthropic outcomes.
Ideal Competencies of a Successful Candidate
Six (6) years of administrative experience in higher education and/or advancement
Experience working in HR
Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exhibit good judgment in making decisions in compliance with University policy.
Understanding of and adherence to the Association of Fundraising Professions Donor Bill of Rights.
Increasing responsibility in office management
Experience with Banner and TED (the UI alumni and donor engagement database).
Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years of administrative experience in higher education and/or advancement.
Work experience in accounting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Computer skills: mastery with creation and analysis of computer-generated databases, spreadsheets, preparation of charts, graphs, and computer-generated visual program.
Microsoft programs: Access, Excel and Word
