Mortgage Loan Closer
Location:
On-site role in our Charlotte office, with flexibility of 1 WFH day per week after the first 90 days of employment.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Closer to manage loan closings from Clear to Close through funding. This role ensures accurate preparation and balancing of Closing Disclosures, coordination with settlement agents, and full compliance with regulatory and investor requirements.
What You’ll Do Closing & CD Preparation
Prepare initial and revised Closing Disclosures (CDs) in compliance with TRID requirements.
Balance Closing Disclosures with settlement agents, ensuring all fees, escrows, credits, and payoffs are accurate.
Ensure compliance with tolerance thresholds and identify any required cures prior to closing.
Confirm all pre-closing conditions are satisfied and loans are fully clear to close.
Manage CD delivery timelines and ensure proper borrower acknowledgment prior to closing.
Coordinate and resolve any discrepancies between Loan Estimate (LE) and CD.
Closing Coordination
Schedule and coordinate loan closings with settlement agents, loan officers, and borrowers.
Review closing packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to closing.
Communicate final closing figures and requirements to all parties involved.
Handle last-minute changes, redisclosures, and closing adjustments efficiently.
Ensure all closing conditions are met prior to authorizing loan to close.
Support a smooth borrower experience by proactively managing communication and expectations.
Pipeline & Deadline Management
Manage a pipeline of loans to ensure timely closings aligned with lock expiration and contract dates.
Track key milestones including clear to close, CD issuance, and scheduled closing dates.
Escalate issues proactively to avoid delays or lock extensions.
Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and status updates within internal systems.
Collaborate closely with processors, loan officers, and funding team to ensure seamless handoff.
What We’re Looking For
2–5 years of mortgage operations experience with emphasis on closing and CD preparation.
Strong understanding of TRID, Closing Disclosures, and tolerance requirements.
Experience balancing CDs with settlement agents.
Ability to manage multiple loans and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and general office tools.
Notary license a plus.
Experience with funding or post-closing processes is a plus.
