Athletic Director (12-Month Position) – Saint Patrick Academy
Start Date: July 1, 2026 (or earlier)
About the Role Saint Patrick Academy, a thriving Catholic school community, seeks an energetic and visionary Athletic Director to lead and grow a dynamic PreK3–8 athletics program. This is an exciting opportunity for a mission-driven leader who understands the impact of athletics on student development and school culture. The Athletic Director oversees all aspects of the school's athletic programs—including interscholastic teams, clubs, intramurals, and early childhood clinics. Reporting to the Director of Student Activities, the AD will lead program growth, hire and develop coaches, manage operations, and promote a cohesive, values-driven athletic culture. Some teaching responsibilities may be included, with preference for candidates interested in physical education.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and grow a comprehensive athletics program (grades PreK3–8)
Hire, mentor, and evaluate coaches
Manage scheduling, budgets, facilities, and equipment
Ensure compliance with league and school policies (PSAL member)
Foster strong communication with students, families, and staff
Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and school spirit
Support admissions and community engagement through athletics
Programs Include
Middle School: Soccer, Cross Country/Track, Volleyball, Basketball, Baseball
Clubs: Golf, Ski, Rock Climbing, Floor Hockey, and more (based on interest)
Lower School: Clinics, intramurals, and developmental programs
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years in athletic leadership or administration
Coaching experience with a record of success
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Experience with budgeting and program development
Passion for student‑athlete formation and Catholic education
