JOB SUMMARY: The Association Director will provide a high-level administrative, membership, and event coordination to ensure efficient board operations and organizational performance. This position supports key stakeholders and personnel by managing logistics, communications, digital platforms and compliance processes with precision and professionalism.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate logistics for board retreats and quarterly meetings.
Prepare agendas, meeting packets, and take accurate meeting minutes.
Maintain board records, terms, bylaws compliance, and support onboarding.
Process member registrations and renewals; maintain accurate member records.
Respond to member inquiries and create newsletters and alert communications.
Support affinity groups and track engagement metrics.
Plan and execute the annual conference, including venue negotiation, speaker coordination, sponsors/exhibitors, and onsite logistics.
Schedule and support membership meetings and webinars.
Maintain event calendars and complete post‑event reporting.
Create branded materials (flyers, decks, conference materials).
Track analytics, email performance, and ensure accessibility compliance.
Draft policy briefs, legislative alerts, and communication materials.
Serve as point of contact for state agencies (DBHDD, DCH, DD Council).
Attend external meetings, prepare summaries, and support legislative agenda development.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement and joint advocacy work.
Track board nominations, voting, and governance workflows.
Support strategic planning, research, and organizational development tasks.
EXPERIENCE: Experience supporting an Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) support association highly preferred.
5+ years of executive support experience, preferably in a nonprofit, association, government, or advocacy‑focused organization.
Demonstrated experience managing board or committee operations, including meeting logistics, agenda preparation, minute‑taking, and governance documentation.
