We are seeking an Entry Level Landscape Designer to join our team in our Thousand Oaks, California office. The Entry Level Landscape Designer will be working under the direction of our Principal Landscape Architects and engage in all aspects of the project life cycle. The position is responsible for assisting with design and drafting as well as cost‑estimating, project budgeting and other tasks typical of an Entry Level Landscape Designer. The candidate should thrive on diversity and variety as well as on maintaining professional relationships with clients and consultants. Our staff is customer service focused, well organized and detail oriented. An ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment is essential to success.

Description

Involvement in all phases of projects from schematic design to construction administration

Assist in construction document preparation

Communicate effectively and responsively with clients, consultants, design team and vendors

Job costing, budgeting and bid review

Work with Principals and staff to complete projects timely

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture

0 – 5 years of related experience

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Docs (Land FX, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp a plus)

Construction detailing

Knowledge of West Coast plants

Strong communications skills – written and oral

Passion for designing outdoor living environments

A willingness and openness to learn.

Driver with car and current license/insurance

This position is full time and will offer a salary commensurate with experience.
