Classic CDJR South Charlotte is seeking a driven, results-oriented Used Car Manager to lead and grow our pre-owned department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and knows how to turn inventory into profit.
Key Responsibilities
Source and acquire quality pre-owned inventory through auctions, trades, and direct purchases
Manage inventory levels, pricing strategies, and vehicle aging to maximize profitability
Oversee merchandising, including online listings, vehicle presentation, and lot organization
Collaborate with the sales team to drive unit sales and improve closing ratios
Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to stay competitive
Monitor and improve gross profit per unit and overall department performance
Ensure all vehicles meet company standards for reconditioning and front-line readiness
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Used Car Manager or in a similar automotive role
Strong skills in inventory acquisition and appraisal
Deep understanding of market-based pricing and digital merchandising
Ability to lead, motivate, and work closely with a sales team
Results-driven mindset with a focus on profitability and growth
Excellent organizational and decision-making skills
