Administrator, Kids Ministry

Position Summary: The Grace Kids Administrator provides administrative and operational support for the Grace Kids ministry to ensure consistent, organized, and welcoming environments for children, families, volunteers, and guests. This role supports the effective execution of weekly ministry activities by stewarding systems, materials, and front-end processes, allowing ministry leaders and volunteers to focus on discipleship and relational ministry.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

Support the execution of Grace Kids ministry operations in alignment with church and NextGen ministry priorities.

Provide front-end support for Grace Kids check-in during Sunday services.

Welcome first-time families and assist returning families and volunteers.

Support volunteers with check-in systems and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Ensure accuracy of rosters, name tags, and classroom assignments.

Prepare, print, organize, and distribute weekly Grace Kids curriculum and materials.

Prepare classroom supplies and assist with classroom setup for services.

Maintain organized classrooms, storage areas, and ministry materials.

Support ministry systems, organization, and inventory management.

Assist with maintaining safe, prepared, and inviting environments for children and families.

Communicate effectively with ministry leaders and volunteers regarding weekly needs and readiness.

Build consistency and reliability into weekly ministry rhythms and processes.

Candidate Criteria:

Demonstrated Christian faith and strong personal character.

Active and engaged member of Grace Fellowship Church.

Commitment to and support of Grace Fellowship Church’s mission, vision, and values.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multi-generational environments.

Proficiency with office technology and willingness to learn ministry-specific systems.

Collaborative team member with a strong commitment to teamwork and unity.

Education and Experience:

Some college coursework preferred but not required.

Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Prior experience in administrative support, children’s ministry, education, nonprofit, or a related field is preferred.

Experience in a church or nonprofit environment is beneficial.

Working Hours and Conditions: Business Hours/Exceptions

Part‑time position with variable hours, including Sunday mornings and occasional evenings or weekends as required by ministry needs.

Additional hours may be required during designated all‑church events, including Christmas, Easter, and Fall Launch.

Working Environment:

Work is primarily performed on‑site with limited remote work.

Required onsite presence on Sunday mornings.

Travel Requirements and Expectations: Occasional offsite meetings, ministry outings, or training events may be required.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
