BookPage is seeking a

Marketing Manager

to drive subscription and revenue growth, and expand the reach of our brand to readers, libraries, bookstores and publishers.

This role is responsible for leading and executing BookPage’s marketing efforts across channels. The ideal candidate will work closely with the President, Publisher and other cross-functional teams while owning the day-to-day marketing function and moving projects forward. This role is both collaborative and highly independent. Strong communication, sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities is key.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable both thinking strategically and executing/building campaigns, writing copy, tracking performance and translating insights into action. The ideal candidate is creative, analytical, highly organized and excited to take ownership of marketing from conception to completion.

A love for reading and familiarity with the book publishing industry is preferred but not required.

BookPage is a hybrid work environment with a 3-day in-office/2-day remote weekly schedule. Applicants must be based in Nashville, TN.Salary range is $65K-$75K depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute BookPage’s marketing efforts with a focus on growing reach and revenue

Execute multichannel marketing campaigns from conception to execution for our audience of public libraries, bookstores and readers

Own social media strategy across content planning, filming and editing short-form video, copywriting and monthly reporting

Create and manage paid marketing campaigns (ie: Meta) including strategy, setup, asset creation and reporting

Write and build email marketing workflows such as promotional and automated nurture campaigns

Support and actively participate in copywriting tasks throughout the business including customer communications, press releases and newsletter verbiage

Serve as project manager for key marketing initiatives such as webinars, issue campaigns and seasonal promotions

Set goals for marketing efforts and report regularly on performance

Collaborate cross-functionally with Subscriptions, Editorial and Design

Must-haves

4+ years professional marketing experience, with a focus in digital marketing

Strong background in digital marketing channels including social media, email and web

Experience managing paid digital campaigns

Excellent copywriting and communication skills

Working knowledge of Google Suite, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, WordPress and basic design programs (ie: Canva)

Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

Ability to take initiative

Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Nice to haves

Experience with subscription-based products or services

Experience marketing to libraries, bookstores or readers

Familiarity with the publishing industry

Familiarity with SEO/SEM and marketing performance metrics

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
