Pipefitters – Apopka, FL – Prefabrication This is a full‑time on‑site role for Pipe Fitters located in Apopka, FL. We have a 3‑4 month project focusing on stainless steel piping. The Pipe Fitters will be responsible for fitting pipes to specifications, examining work product for defects, and ensuring conformance with specifications.
Essential Functions Fit stainless steel, steel & various alloys piping for plumbing/mechanical applications.
Desired Qualification Requirements
Experience fitting stainless steel piping
Knowledge of plumbing and pipefitting techniques
Ability to read and interpret spool drawings and technical detail data sheets
Excellent mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity with attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certification in pipe welding
Must be able to pass a brief verbal pipe fitters test during interview
Working knowledge of gas cutting techniques for piping (Automatic & Manually)
Excellent knowledge of Fitting configurations adhering to ASME B31.1 Power Piping
Preferred knowledge of examination, testing, inspection, operation, and maintenance of piping systems found in industrial, institutional, and general heating and cooling systems
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving skills
Communication: Effective English or Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communication skills are a must have
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to achieve quality objectives and project success
Safety: Commitment to adhering to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others
Physical Requirements You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.
