Training Support Package (TSP) Writer GDIT is the Prime contractor for the Flight School Training Support Services (FSTSS) program, which supports the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) in Daleville, Alabama. GDIT owns and operates the facilities that provide flight simulator training.

GDIT has an immediate opening for a

Training Support Package (TSP) Writer

supporting the Flight School Program. The role focuses on training development and tactical deployment of aviation assets.

How a TSP Writer Will Make an Impact

Assist customers in the development and execution of training scenarios to meet their training objectives.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Conduct formal briefings to senior army officers and other personnel.

Perform Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) and the military orders production process.

Develop doctrinal orders and products that adhere to the Army’s Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE) to support unclassified simulation exercises.

Work in a variety of simulation and gaming environments.

Use computer simulation and gaming technologies to create and manage a virtual operational environment for military mission training.

Use U.S. Army Aviation experience to guide realistic training, roleplay various aviation positions, ground forces, and Opposing Forces.

Coordinate with course instructors on synchronizing events in missions, injecting mission changes, and recording key events for After Action Review (AAR).

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience: 6 years of related experience.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Experience on Battalion Staff or higher.

Familiarity with Army DOTD publications and directives; knowledge of doctrinal, tactical, technical, and conceptual aspects of aviation tactics.

Experience or education in adult learning theories, instructional design practices, and program evaluation.

Ability to apply current military radio technology and multimedia to training programs.

Army aviation experience, including Command Post (CP) experience.

Working knowledge of Command Post Systems (CPOF/CPCE).

Experience in training education and instructional design.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to guide junior personnel.

Editing skills for doctrinal and technical documents, correcting grammar, spelling, structure, and clarity.

Experience in tactical deployment of aviation training.

Knowledge of current Army airframes and their capabilities.

Analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Presentation skills, both in person and remotely.

Interpersonal skills to facilitate effective working relationships with customers and teammates.

Computer, software, and multimedia proficiency.

Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Security Clearance Level: Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.

The likely salary range for this position is $56,950‑$77,050. Compensation will be based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements, and could fall outside of this range.
