Solidworks Mechanical Designer

Job Title: Mechanical Designer As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to design concepts, creating general layouts, and producing detailed drawings using 2D & 3D CAD programs, particularly Solidworks. You will work with minimal supervisory direction, actively participating in design development.

Responsibilities

Develop design concepts and complete general layouts using Solidworks.

Produce detailed drawings and documentation, including BOMs, ECRs, ECNs, and Process Specifications using Microsoft Office software.

Adhere to established documentation standards.

Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams regarding design and documentation issues.

Manage additional responsibilities in product development, understanding project management, inner company processes, and cost considerations to enhance the design process.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in mechanical design and Solidworks.

Experience with weldments and oilfield equipment manufacturing.

Strong understanding of BOM, manufacturing, and oilfield fabrication.

5+ years of experience using 3D design software, including Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in oil and gas industry, particularly with frac pumps.

Familiarity with ECN and ECR processes within manufacturing.

Work Environment The role is based on‑site in Rhome, Texas, within a dynamic design and fabrication setting.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rhome, TX.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00–$35.00 per hour. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
