Overview Schedule/Hours:
MONDAY - FRIDAY, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
This position is responsible for:
Plans, administers, coordinates, and monitors the Human Resource functions for employees of the Martin County, FL Corps. Serves as a liaison between the Corps and Divisional Headquarters regarding personnel functions and policy.
Key Responsibilities
Prepares and maintains personnel records for all employees.
Enforces the Worker's Together employee manual.
Coordinates recruitment and onboarding activities for the command. Processes background checks and related appeals for the location. Processes I-9 forms and E-Verify. Assigns required employee training.
Assists employees with benefits including new hire and open enrollment, paid time off and leaves of absence.
Helps coordinate annual and 90-day performance review process. Answers employee questions about the same.
Participates, with appropriate management, in the disciplinary and termination processes necessary; advises management as needed; communicates appropriately with Divisional Headquarters to ensure proper procedures are taken and followed.
Ensures compliance with personnel rules and regulations and maintains the confidential nature of the position.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
Ability to perform mathematical computations.
Ability to operate and answer a telephone.
Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to effectively and efficiently work on multiple projects at the same time without becoming frustrated or disorganized.

What We Are Looking For In You
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resource Administration, Business Administration or a related field,
AND
Three years progressively responsible experience working in a human resource office,
OR
Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses & Certifications Valid State Driver’s License May Be Required
