Job Description The Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto Insurance is an Allstate Business) is responsible for the profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales and understanding customers’ needs to build rapport and trust. This position drives sales, builds and retains a book of business within the market/retail location, attracts and generates new customers, and cross‑sells existing customers. The role supports product offerings including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance, and sells to walk‑in customers, markets products outside of the office via marketing calls and in‑person visits, and assists customers in the office.

Minimum Qualifications

0 – 2 years of experience

P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company

Preferred Skills and Competencies

Successfully close sales of insurance and ancillary products

Meet and exceed sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention of customers

Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain a physical presence in your community (e.g., dealerships, local events, community organizations)

Initiate outbound calling to an established target customer base for product offerings

Monitor key competitors in the local market area and suggest initiatives to improve the company’s position in the marketplace

Work with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve production and growth goals

Deliver optimal results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance, and comply with all rules and procedures under supervision

Understand, promote, and remain current on company underwriting guidelines, announcements, and memos related to policy changes

Receive customer payments, issue receipt and verify reports of receipts for cash drawers

Compensation Base compensation: $20.00 per hour In addition to the base hourly rate, total compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.
