The Events Associate is a part-time, as-needed role. Ideal candidates are flexible, customer-focused, and available to work varied hours as event schedules require.
DESCRIPTION The Events Associate assists in ensuring rental events are executed successfully. Reporting to the Sales Coordinator at NCM Motorsports Park, this position provides hands‑on support to maintain rental event run‑of‑show.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with coordinating logistics of facility rental events including timelines, schedules, and event set‑up and clean‑up.
Actively engage customers to establish event details and customer needs.
Provide thorough event summaries to allow accurate billing and customer follow‑up.
Support the execution of overall event experiences.
Maintain and update rental calendar through the use of third‑party software.
Detail events through the use of third‑party software.
Provide hands‑on support at events, serving as a friendly point of contact for guests.
Provide audio‑visual support to customers using our equipment.
Work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays for events as required.
Responsibilities are not all‑inclusive, additional duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior work experience in events preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of general security practices and emergency procedures.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and promptly.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
An understanding of CRM lead management systems and data capturing is preferred.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google Docs.
Strong multitasking ability, handling multiple tasks and a high volume of work within deadlines.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit at a desk for one or more hours at a time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and temperatures.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Must have sufficient mobility to regularly stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk throughout the MSP.
