Position Overview
We’re looking for a Content Video Editor to join the internal creative studio of a global technology company that builds social platforms and virtual‑reality tools. This role supports content creation on hundreds of projects and requires a highly creative, organized individual who thrives in a deadline‑driven environment and can design and edit short‑form video content and still assets for social media channels.
Responsibilities
Edit short‑form video projects for social media channels.
Design and execute dynamic still graphics and text‑based content optimized for engagement.
Format video files for all social app surfaces (Facebook, Instagram Reels, Story, Feed, Threads, Twitter).
Adhere to technical standards and specifications.
Select music and collaborate with Production Managers to license audio for video features.
Collaborate with Creative Producers to inform briefs and shot lists.
Apply subtitles to videos and ensure accuracy with copy editors.
Apply basic graphic elements to videos.
Complete projects with quick turnaround while maintaining high technical quality from start to finish.
Perform QA of content prior to final delivery.
Maintain organized documentation of workflow, toolkits, and assets.
Manage media file archive of completed works.
Skill Requirements
7+ years of creative video editing experience, including pre‑production, file management, post‑production, and motion graphics.
Expertise with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Experience applying After Effects compositions and templates to Premiere Pro projects.
Experience with multiple video formats (mobile, DSLR, cinema‑grade).
Basic audio and sound mixing knowledge.
Proficiency in color correction for all video types.
Experience formatting and troubleshooting video assets for Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Twitter.
Experience editing across multiple mediums: documentaries, short‑form, narrative, music videos.
Ability to navigate complex projects with multiple stakeholders and frequent revisions.
Strong relationships with core and cross‑functional teams.
Self‑starter in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
Strong communication and unwavering adherence to brand visual standards.
Maintains focus and high quality across varied project paces.
Proficient with Photoshop and Lightroom.
Familiarity with generative AI tools in content creation and editing workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with third‑party tools such as Iconik, Asana, Rev, Topaz, and EddieAI.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Deep understanding of trending content on social platforms (Facebook, IG, TikTok, etc.).
Experience Level Intermediate Level
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Menlo Park, CA. Hybrid workplace.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $65.00 – $90.00/hr.
