
Regional Sales Manager

We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to develop and grow sales across the Midwest region. The role focuses on selling high-performance CNC horizontal machining centers used in demanding industries such as aerospace, defense, energy, and heavy equipment manufacturing.
This position is ideal for someone with strong machine tool sales experience who enjoys building long‑term relationships with manufacturers and expanding new business within the territory.
Travel
Approximately 90% travel within the Midwest region
Travel includes visits to:
Customer manufacturing facilities
Distributor partners
Trade shows and industry events
U.S. headquarters when required
Key Responsibilities Territory Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory
Expand relationships with existing customers
Target industries including aerospace, defense, energy, and heavy equipment manufacturing
Distributor Management
Work closely with independent sales representatives and distributors
Provide product training and support
Develop strategies to grow regional sales
Technical Sales
Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to understand machining needs
Develop machine tool proposals tailored to customer requirements
Coordinate with internal engineering and application teams
Sales Management
Manage the full sales cycle (prospecting, quoting, negotiation, and closing)
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates
Support machine demonstrations and technical presentations
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in machine tool sales or advanced manufacturing equipment sales
Strong understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing environments
Proven experience developing new business and managing large manufacturing accounts
Experience working with machine tool distributors or independent sales reps
Strong communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling horizontal machining centers or large CNC machines
Existing relationships with companies in aerospace, energy, or heavy equipment industries
Background in manufacturing engineering or machining
