Our capabilities cover the entire product lifecycle—from
design collaboration and product development to sampling, sourcing, and large-scale manufacturing . We partner with brands to create products that combine
comfort, quality, performance, and scalable production .
As we expand our U.S. presence, we are building a local team focused on
developing long-term partnerships with apparel brands and supporting their product development needs .
The Opportunity We are looking for a
Business Development Manager
who understands the apparel industry and enjoys building real relationships with brands.
This role will focus on
actively identifying and developing new brand partnerships
across the U.S. market. You will work under the leadership of the
Director of Business Development
to expand our network of clients and build long‑term collaborations with apparel companies.
Success in this role requires someone who is both
commercially driven and product‑aware —someone who can speak confidently with brand teams about
styles, fabrics, fit, and product positioning , not just pricing.
What You’ll Do Brand Outreach & Client Development Identify and develop relationships with emerging and established apparel brands.
Build a pipeline of potential partners across categories such as:
Casualwear
Activewear
Athleisure
Comfort‑focused lifestyle apparel
Conduct regular outreach and scheduled visits to brand offices, studios, and showrooms.
Present AOGU Apparel’s capabilities as a
long‑term manufacturing partner .
Field Sales & Market Development Actively visit potential clients based on
research and collected brand leads .
Maintain a structured outreach schedule to maximize client acquisition.
Build trust with founders, product teams, and sourcing managers.
Represent the company at industry events, showrooms, and networking opportunities.
Product & Industry Knowledge Understand key product details including:
Fabric composition and performance
Fabric weight (GSM) and garment structure
Fit considerations and garment construction
Engage with brand teams on product concepts and manufacturing feasibility
Provide feedback internally on
market trends and brand needs
Collaboration with Internal Teams Work closely with the
Director of Business Development
to execute sales strategies.
Coordinate with design and development teams when introducing new client projects.
Ensure clear communication between clients and production teams.
Relationship Management Maintain ongoing communication with prospective and active clients.
Build long‑term partnerships rather than one‑time orders.
Support client onboarding and early‑stage product discussions.
What You Bring Industry Experience 3–8 years of experience in
apparel sales, sourcing, or business development .
Familiarity with the U.S. apparel brand landscape .
Experience interacting with brand founders, designers, or product teams .
Product Knowledge Understanding of
garment construction and fabric characteristics .
Familiarity with topics such as:
Fabric weight (GSM)
Knit vs woven materials
Comfort and performance fabrics
Ability to discuss apparel products from both design and production perspectives
Professional Skills Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
Self‑driven and comfortable with
field‑based business development .
Organized and disciplined in managing outreach and follow‑ups.
Curious about fashion trends and brand development.
You Are Passionate about the apparel industry and emerging brands.
Comfortable meeting new people and building relationships.
Interested in understanding both
product design and manufacturing .
