Salary: $20.00 - $27.33 hourly

Reports To: Campus Chief Information Officer or assigned Department Supervisor

Department: MDC Online

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview Assists campus with the development of blended and web‑enhanced courses in Blackboard and with instructional materials and faculty web pages. Participates as a team member in the Student Success Center and assists tutors with instructional activities.

What you will be doing

Assists faculty with the planning and development of web‑based application tools to implement online courses.

Assesses faculty needs regarding knowledge and experience in instructional technology.

Designs and implements faculty development activities to support technology use in instruction.

Works with faculty to design, develop, and evaluate courses using instructional design principles.

Provides individual and group sessions to ensure curriculum improvements of targeted courses.

Recommends expenditures needed to support faculty development of online courses.

Performs support technology work used to create online courses.

Collaborates with campus leadership to gather information for purchasing equipment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology or a related field from a regionally accredited institution and at least three years of related work experience.

All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.

Knowledge and understanding of college organization, goals, objectives, and policies.

Excellent instructional design skills.

Exceptional skills in developing web courses in a web course environment.

Knowledge of learning management systems such as Blackboard, HTML, and other web technologies.

Knowledge of graphic editing software.

Team player.

Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments.

Ability to work well in a multi‑ethnic, multicultural environment with students, faculty, and staff.

Additional Requirements The final candidate must successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
