Job Details Service Sales Representative (BAS / HVAC Controls)

Location: Sacramento Area | Full-Time

About the Role We’re looking for a driven and relationship-focused Service Sales Representative to support and grow an existing client base while identifying new opportunities within the building automation and HVAC controls space. This role is ideal for someone who understands how buildings operate and can translate that into long-term service agreements, system upgrades, and ongoing support solutions.

You’ll be working closely with operations, engineering, and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions that improve system performance and client satisfaction.

What You’ll Be Doing

Manage and grow an existing book of business through regular client interaction and relationship building

Identify opportunities for service agreements, system upgrades, and expansions within current accounts

Prospect and develop new business across assigned territories or vertical markets

Prepare estimates, proposals, and service agreements for building automation and HVAC controls work

Track activity, pipeline, and proposals using internal CRM tools

Follow up consistently and negotiate contracts through close

Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, programming, field staff) to support project execution

Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build market presence

What We’re Looking For

2–5+ years of experience in service sales, BAS, HVAC, or mechanical systems

Strong understanding of building systems, controls, or HVAC equipment (technical aptitude is key)

Experience selling service agreements, retrofits, or system upgrades is a big plus

Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills with both technical teams and end users

Comfortable working independently and driving your own pipeline

Nice to Have

Background in engineering, construction, or technical sales

Familiarity with BAS/DDC systems or integrated building technologies

Experience with estimating tools, AutoCAD, or database systems
