Lucas James Talent Partners is partnering with Phothera, a Madison Medical company within Madison Industries, on a direct hire opportunity for a Strategic Accounts Specialist.
This is an early-career, field-based healthcare sales role supporting Phothera’s most important customer, Kaiser. It is best suited for candidates with strong sales fundamentals who are looking to build a long-term career in healthcare and strategic accounts.
This is not a traditional strategic or senior account role. While aligned to key accounts, this position is focused on execution in the field, provider engagement, and driving utilization on a day-to-day basis.

The Opportunity
This role is designed to support and expand utilization within Kaiser, Phothera’s most critical account.
The Strategic Accounts Specialist will operate in a highly field‑based capacity, spending the majority of time in territory supporting provider engagement, education, and account execution. This includes consistent in‑person activity, presentations, and relationship building across Kaiser locations.
This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their career to gain exposure to a major national account while developing core sales and territory management skills.
This role requires residency in or relocation to either the Bay Area or Greater Los Angeles market.
Territory Overview
This role will be based in either the Bay Area or Greater Los Angeles market
The Bay Area represents the largest concentration of opportunity (~34% of total volume)
Los Angeles and surrounding areas represent another significant portion of the territory
Coverage is focused on high‑volume Kaiser locations within these regions
Central California is not a primary focus and is covered by adjacent territories
This role will focus primarily on Kaiser, Phothera’s most important account.
Salary Range:
$85,000 to $100,000 base salary, flexible based on experience and location
Incentive:
Quarterly commission
Additional offerings include:
Travel expense coverage

Key Responsibilities
Field Execution & Territory Management
Manage a defined territory with a focus on consistent, in‑person activity
Conduct provider visits, presentations, and lunch and learns
Maintain strong visibility and engagement across Kaiser locations
Account Support & Performance
Support utilization and growth within assigned accounts
Track activity, performance metrics, and identify opportunities
Assist in monitoring account performance and engagement trends Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Strategic Accounts leadership
Support initiatives to increase adoption of phototherapy solutions
Relationship Management
Build relationships with providers and healthcare stakeholders
Provide product education and respond to inquiries
Surface feedback, trends, and opportunities to the broader team
The Profile
We are seeking a professional who is:
Early Career, High Potential
1 to 3 years of experience in sales, healthcare, or a structured training environment
Field‑Oriented and Execution‑Focused
Comfortable with daily in‑person activity, managing a territory, and maintaining consistent follow‑through
Confident presenting to providers and leading small group sessions such as lunch and learns
Organized and Self‑Directed
Able to prioritize effectively, manage multiple responsibilities, and operate independently
Motivated and Growth‑Oriented
Interested in building a long‑term career in healthcare sales and strategic accounts
Qualifications
1 to 3 years of experience in sales, healthcare, or a related field
Experience in a structured sales training environment (Enterprise, Cintas, Paychex, ADP, or similar) is strongly preferred
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage a territory and prioritize effectively
Healthcare, medical device, or payer exposure is a plus but not required
