Property Manager
MSB Resources, New York, NY, United States
We’re partnering with a
well-established, long-term owner/operator
to hire a
Property Manager
for a high-performing, Class A multifamily portfolio across Manhattan and Queens. This is a unique opportunity for someone coming from a structured property management company who values
stability, operational focus, and long-term ownership
over a transactional, buy/sell environment.
Unlike many roles, this position is
purely operations-driven
— you won’t be responsible for leasing or renewals. Instead, your focus will be on building performance, staff leadership, and delivering an exceptional resident experience across a portfolio of 1,000+ units spanning multiple high-rise buildings.
Why This Role Stands Out
Work for an owner that
holds assets long-term
— no constant churn or repositioning
Focus on
operations, not leasing pressure
Supported by
tenured supers, a dedicated CapEx/renovations team, and asset management
Portfolio is
stable (95–96% occupied)
and well-maintained
Primarily based onsite in Manhattan with oversight of a small Queens component
What You’ll Do
Serve as the
primary point of contact
for day-to-day property operations across multiple buildings
Lead and manage building staff, including supers and resident services personnel, ensuring strong performance and accountability
Oversee and
drive an efficient, high-volume unit turnover process
(move‑ins/move‑outs)
Deliver
best‑in‑class resident service , responding quickly to inquiries and resolving escalations
Conduct regular
property walks and condition assessments , proactively identifying maintenance needs
Coordinate maintenance and vendor work to ensure buildings, systems, and common areas are well‑maintained
Partner with ownership and asset management on
budgeting, reporting, and financial performance
Prepare and present
monthly reporting, including variance analysis and operational insights
Help implement portfolio‑wide initiatives to enhance operations and resident experience
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of
multifamily property management experience , ideally within a
multi‑site, high‑rise portfolio
Background with a
reputable, structured property management company
preferred
Strong
operations mindset
— comfortable with building systems (boilers, HVAC, etc.), but not a maintenance role
Proven ability to
manage staff, vendors, and day‑to‑day building operations
Experience overseeing
unit turns and the move‑in/move‑out process
Working knowledge of
budgeting and financial reporting
(support provided, but baseline understanding required)
Familiarity with
Yardi
(RentCafé a plus)
Knowledge of
NYC housing regulations
Highly organized, responsive, and professional, with strong communication skills
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys
running buildings, leading teams, and focusing on operational excellence
— all within a stable, well‑capitalized ownership platform.
