Pay Rate: $25.30 - $31.15/hr
Shift: Monday through Friday 6am-5pm
Job Summary The Phlebotomist - Floater (Patient Services Representative III) represents the face of the company, delivering high-quality specimen collection while ensuring patient trust and confidence. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, flexibility to travel between locations, and the ability to maintain accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures
Maintain a safe and professional environment while performing daily activities accurately and on time
Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties
Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in patient presence
Maintain required records and documentation
Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general
Travel to multiple locations and support Patient Service Centers and in-office phlebotomy as needed
Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Three years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Valid state phlebotomy certification required
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Nice-to-Have Experience
Medical assistant or paramedic training
Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA)
Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment
Customer service experience in a retail or service environmentKeyboard/data entry experience
Required Skills
Excellent phlebotomy skills (pediatric and geriatric)
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
Strong customer service and communication skills
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance standards
Additional Skills
Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if applicable)
Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment
Strong organizational commitment and professionalism
Ability to adapt to changing environments and staffing needs
Experience handling patient interactions with sensitivity and confidentiality
