Job Summary The Patient Services Representative III‑Floater (PSR III) represents the
face of the company
to patients and supports multiple locations based on business needs. This role draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
The PSR III works directly with patients to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while performing phlebotomy in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. This position requires flexibility, strong customer focus, and the ability to adapt to different environments and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
Maintain a safe and professional environment.
Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper specimen labeling.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong customer service experience preferred.
Keyboard and data entry experience required.
Nice‑to‑Have Experience
Medical assistant or paramedic training.
Experience in a Patient Service Center environment.
Experience in retail or service environments.
Phlebotomy certification (required in California; CPT license required).
