M:STL- CJM Development & Communications Coordinator VISTA

Since 1979, Criminal Justice Ministry (CJM) has served individuals, families, and communities impacted by the criminal justice system. From offering services to incarcerated individuals to providing reentry programs for those returning to the St. Louis area, CJM seeks to serve the needs of the most vulnerable without judgment. CJM provides programs to individuals both inside area institutions and throughout the St. Louis community. CJM envisions a future for those impacted by incarceration where their relationships and communities are safe and supportive, incarceration is minimized, and recidivism is eliminated. Member Duties Criminal Justice Ministry (CJM) seeks an AmeriCorps VISTA member to support the expansion of our development and communications capacity as we work to increase housing stability and employment opportunities for justice-impacted individuals in the St. Louis region. The Development & Communications VISTA will play a key role in strengthening CJM’s fundraising infrastructure and increasing public awareness of our programs and impact. Through storytelling, media engagement, and donor stewardship systems, this position will help CJM build sustainable support for our housing and workforce initiatives, including the Foundations to Futures employment pathway and the FIRST Services Navigation Center. This role focuses on developing tools, strategies, and communications systems that strengthen CJM’s long‑term ability to engage donors, partners, and the broader community in advancing successful re‑entry.
