Business Development Representative (BDR) Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Drug Development Hybrid / Remote – Monmouth County, NJ Full-Time | Base Salary + Bonus + Commission | Benefits Included Summary Are you looking to grow your career in life sciences sales or break into the pharmaceutical industry? Channel Methods is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help connect biotech and pharmaceutical companies with drug and device development service providers that support new therapies and improve global health. Channel Methods provides sales and marketing support to life sciences organizations across the clinical research and drug/device development ecosystem. In this role, you will identify target accounts, engage key decision-makers, qualify new opportunities, and schedule meetings for senior business development leaders. You will work across Clinical Operations, R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Regulatory functions, making this a strong opportunity for someone interested in biotech, pharma, and clinical research. This role is ideal for someone who brings curiosity, strong communication skills, and the drive to build relationships in a fast-moving, highly impactful industry. Key Responsibilities Research biotech and pharmaceutical companies based on clinical trial activity, funding stage, and therapeutic focus Identify decision-makers across Clinical Operations, R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, Regulatory, and related teams Conduct personalized outreach through email, phone, text, video, LinkedIn, and other channels Execute structured outbound prospecting campaigns Qualify inbound and outbound leads and convert them into sales opportunities Schedule meetings for senior business development leaders Maintain accurate prospect and activity data in CRM systems What We’re Looking For Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfort with cold outreach and prospecting Interest in biotechnology, drug development, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals Ability to research companies and tailor outreach messaging Strong follow-up skills, organization, and attention to detail Confidence engaging senior professionals and navigating longer sales cycles Preferred Qualifications Experience in sales, lead generation, or business development Exposure to life sciences, biotechnology, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals Bachelor’s degree preferred; life sciences background is a plus Compensation and Benefits Competitive base salary Monthly bonuses and sales incentives (SPIFs) Commission on closed deals generated from your meetings Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) match Employee support program Hybrid work environment Pay Range Total Compensation (OTE): $73,000 - $95,000 Base Salary: $39,000 - $61,000 per year Incentives: $14,000 OTE Commission: $20,000 OTE Note: Earnings are uncapped.
