Position Overview Business Development Manager , US Operations Team – Los Angeles. This is a high‑ownership role for a true seller who thrives in outbound sales, builds strong relationships, and delivers results in a high‑velocity environment. Responsibilities Own the full partner lifecycle: from cold outreach to onboarding, relationship management, and performance tracking. Drive outbound sales with high‑volume prospecting via email, phone and in‑person visits—especially in the first 1–2 months. Build and grow our partner network in your region, including independent bike shops, large retailers and OEMs. Source and negotiate the best possible inventory of second‑hand electric bikes. Travel extensively to meet with partners, understand their needs and build long‑term relationships. Act as the face of Upway in the market—representing our brand with professionalism, integrity and passion. Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, marketing and product teams to ensure a seamless customer and partner experience. Deliver against ambitious targets while maintaining a high standard of execution and attention to detail. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in business development, B2B sales, sourcing or partner management , ideally in a fast‑paced or startup environment. Proven track record of owning a sales pipeline and closing deals . Exceptional communication and negotiation skills —you know how to build trust and influence decisions. High energy and self‑motivation; comfortable working independently, managing your time and pushing through ambiguity. Experience with in‑person client interactions and field sales . Strong organizational skills and a bias for action . Passion for sustainability, mobility and making an impact.
